CORFU.
known
as the Emerald Island is one of the Larger Greek Islands .Only separated
from Albania on
the mainland to the East by a narrow stretch of water, and only 50 miles to the
West is the Italian Mainland.
This
lovely Island has much to enjoy, not least the variety of good resorts
and natural beauty.
I
have holidayed here several times and it has been to a different area each
time. All has had its own attraction.
CORFU
TOWN
is rich
in history with the fortress
dominating
the skyline and many buildings have survived for centuries. Corfu has many
beautiful resorts and beaches. My last visit took me to the quiet and relaxing
resort of San Stephanos where I stayed at the Thomas Bay Hotel , a Welcoming
family run hotel that is so comfortable that is would be easy to spend time just
relaxing and using the facilities there.

this
is me with Cecile the mermaid who swam on my first dive.

Corfu also offer the opportunity to Scuba Dive. If you have never dived before
It is a smashing way to spend a day. A short Cruise takes you to a quiet
secluded
beach that shelves gently into the clear blue water. Friendly, qualified
instructors take you easily through the basic safety instruction in the
modern, easy to use equipment. Within 15 minutes your adventure into
a completely new world begins . My first ever dive a few years ago
with the WATER HOPPERS was unforgettable and since then I have been Scuba diving
on most of the Islands
I've visited.
