The destination this Autumn was the resort of San Stephanos in the North West of Corfu. As you would expect in late September this is a quieter resort. The downside is that by the time you have claimed your luggage etc., got on
your transfer coach and dropped others off at various hotels, it can take
up to two and a half hours to reach San Stephanos.
I must add though that once settled in the sunshine and scenery makes the journey time a minor problem There are plenty of Snack Bars, Supermarkets. The Restaurants and Tavernas menus are comprehensive and reasonably priced The Beach is a sweeping crescent of fine sand while the Ionian Sea is shallow. To have a serious swim you need to go out a long way from the beach. The plus side is that it is a great, Safe place for you and your children and grandchildren.
Costa is the man to see for parasols and sunlounger's. He also spends a lot of time raking the sand and cleaning up any debris that comes in on the tide. The Waves Tavernas serves good food and drinks all day Now On to |
