This monastery must have one of  most idyllic setting  anywhere. Set at the top of a hill itPaleoMon2.jpg (81947 bytes) PaleoMon1.jpg (93809 bytes) gives wonderful views over the sea and  the coves  and beaches of Paleokastritsa . The decoration of the church is typically Greek Orthodox and the religious Icons are works of art. It was  good to see and Icon dedicated to  St. George (the adopted patron Saint of England) still slaying Dragons and saving fair maidens
